TELPHER 505 is a broad-spectrum dual-action insecticide containing Chlorpyriphos 50% and Cypermethrin 5% EC, designed for rapid knockdown and long-lasting control of a wide range of sucking and chewing insect pests in major agricultural crops.
TELPHER 505 is a powerful combination insecticide formulated by integrating an organophosphate (Chlorpyriphos) with a synthetic pyrethroid (Cypermethrin). This dual chemistry delivers both immediate knockdown and sustained pest control, making it highly effective against complex and resistant pest populations.
Chlorpyriphos acts through fumigant, stomach, and contact action by disrupting the nervous system via acetylcholinesterase inhibition. Cypermethrin complements this by providing fast contact activity that causes immediate paralysis of insects. Together, they ensure effective field-level control of both hidden and exposed pests.
It is widely used in field crops where severe infestations of borers, bollworms, and sucking pests can significantly reduce yield potential.
