Melvin (Thiophanate Methyl 70% WP) is a broad-spectrum systemic fungicide that provides preventive and curative control of major fungal diseases such as scab, powdery mildew, anthracnose, rust, and ring rot across fruit and vegetable crops.
Melvin is a high-performance systemic fungicide formulated with Thiophanate Methyl 70% WP, belonging to the benzimidazole group (FRAC Group 1). It is widely used for effective management of fungal diseases in horticultural and field crops, offering both preventive and curative protection.
After application, Melvin is absorbed by the plant and translocated systemically, where it disrupts fungal cell division by inhibiting microtubule formation, which is essential for mitosis. This results in suppression of fungal growth and elimination of infection within plant tissues. Its uniform suspension and excellent coverage ensure effective field performance with reliable disease control. Melvin is also compatible with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs due to its balanced efficacy and crop safety profile.
