Nichino Gem is a dual-action systemic and contact fungicide containing Mancozeb 64% + Metalaxyl 8% WP, providing strong preventive and curative control against key fungal diseases like downy mildew, late blight, damping-off, and leaf spots across multiple crops.
Nichino Gem is a broad-spectrum fungicide formulated with Mancozeb (protective contact action) and Metalaxyl (systemic curative action). This combination provides both external surface protection and internal plant defense, making it highly effective against a wide range of fungal pathogens.
Mancozeb acts as a multi-site contact fungicide that prevents spore germination on plant surfaces, while Metalaxyl penetrates plant tissues and inhibits fungal RNA synthesis, stopping internal infection development. Together, they provide a synergistic effect that ensures both preventive and curative disease control.
The formulation is widely used in vegetable, fruit, and field crops where early and persistent fungal infections can cause severe yield loss. Its dual-mode activity ensures longer protection and improved crop health under high disease pressure conditions.
