Talstar (Bifenthrin 10% EC) is a broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide with acaricidal properties that provides fast knockdown and long-lasting control of major sucking and chewing pests in crops like paddy, cotton, and sugarcane.
Talstar is a high-performance insecticide formulated with Bifenthrin 10% EC, belonging to the Type I pyrethroid group. It is widely used for controlling a broad range of insect pests and mites across agricultural and horticultural crops.
It acts through contact and ingestion, affecting the nervous system of insects by disrupting sodium channel function, leading to paralysis and death. Talstar is known for its quick knockdown effect and long residual activity, making it highly effective in integrated pest management programs. Its stability under high temperatures and strong soil-binding properties also make it effective for termite control in sugarcane systems.
