Planofix is a plant growth regulator containing Alpha Naphthyl Acetic Acid 4.5% SL, used to improve flowering, reduce fruit drop, and enhance fruit quality and yield across horticultural crops.
Planofix (Bayer) is an aqueous solution plant growth regulator based on Alpha Naphthyl Acetic Acid (NAA) 4.5% SL. It is widely used in fruit and vegetable crops to regulate physiological processes such as flowering, fruit set, and fruit retention.
It works by modulating ethylene production and preventing the formation of the abscission layer, thereby reducing premature shedding of flowers, buds, and fruits. This results in improved yield, better fruit size, and enhanced crop quality. It is commonly used in crops like mango, grapes, tomato, chilli, and pineapple for yield optimization and uniform fruit development.
